Sunday, February 7th, 1:00PM-5:00PM, Winter 2016 Fashion Week at The Harlem Collective, 1871 Amsterdam Avenue at 152nd Street.  SHM will be launching a special Fashion Week event at the new industrial co-working space at The Harlem Collective on Sugar Hill.  A general reception to the Open House will start at 12:30PM on the first floor and guests will be able to shop the two top floors starting at 1:00PM.  Design legend Sheila Bridges, supermodel Lana Ogilvie along with art world photographer Gianfranco Gorgoni are some of the featured icons of fashion and art that will be part of this showcase in a 3,000 square foot format never seen before uptown.  Sportswear for women and men all made in New York City will also be the main feature in a showroom presentation for the general public, buyers and any interested press.  Designers for this Fashion Week event will be highlighted on the SHM instagram page all week: LINK

Sunday, January 31st, Noon-6:00PM, Sugar Hill Market x La Maison d'Art, 259 West 132nd Street, just east of FDB.  The first Winter Market of 2016 will be back at La Maison d'Art in Central Harlem.  SHM is now the curated pop-up boutique shop that not only features Harlem designer or merchants but also focuses on businesses that support local manufacturing.  Slow fashion is a great way to help out the economy since it helps keep jobs in the city or the nation.  Make sure to drop by and meet some oft the talented members of the community while purchasing great unique pieces for the season at the next SHM.  As alway, Intstagram is the best way to get updates on participants of each event:  LINK
