Sugar Hill Market on Sunday, March 30th will feature Harlem interior designer Christopher Trujillo who is widely known in the decorative world for his lush, enormous paper lanterns.  The one shown above is featured at the notable Apthorp building and Karl Lagerfield also has a piece in his Grammercy Park apartment that was up for sale a couple of years back.   Mr. Trujillo will have a small, edited vignette of his 1,200 piece antique collection that will be on view during the market and also a catalogue for those interested in seeing more items.

The light fixtures are really for the high end market (they literally are the couture of the lighting world) but anyone who has the budget for these uniquely hand-made lamps should drop by and talk to the bespoke interior designer.  This is also a great opportunity for those also interested in decorating their homes to connect with a local designer and help support the artisan industry of Harlem.

More details on Sugar Hill Market will be posted in the next couple of days.  Those interested in the Lagerfield interior can find the image at Curbed: LINK
